Weekend Extravaganza: Saturday Afternoon/Evening

Hey Everyone!

So this afternoon was busy! After nap Charlotte's Nana and Great Gram came to visit :) Its been FOREVER since we took any "family" pictures or any posed pictures so I forced everyone to do it today. I learned that you can force grownups to smile but you cant kids! Charlotte wasnt nearly as into taking pictures as I was today!

My cousin Nicole came to visit too! Here are a couple of pics of Goose and her BFF Nicole:

Miss Charlotte also decided to "go to work" in her footed PJS, flip flops, and Mommys purse...too cute to resist the picture :)

Last picture is my favorite so far of Goose and her daddy...

Weekend Extravaganza: Saturday Morning

Charlotte was super excited to go to the playground with her main squeeze Carter and his mom Jen this morning! These two kiddos together are seriously photogenic! See below for just a FEW of the many, many, pictures I took this morning at the playground :)

We also picked some flowers in the field near the playground:

Weekend Extravaganza: Friday

Hey Everyone!

Friday actually wasn't too extravagant but I did get some cute pics of the Goose around the house....first ones are of the slide Gaga got Charlotte a couple of weeks ago/her practicing her winking some more ;)

The next are a couple of her on the deck playing with the ride-on toy Papa got her and just some of her facial expressions :)

Alright thats about it for Firday....Saturday's first adventure is a playdate the playground with Carter and his mommy Jen :)



Various Adventures in Water.....

Hey Everyone!

So BOOO to the rain as it postponed our playdate! Charlotte and I did however make it to my all-time favorite Southern Maine beach: Willard (even if it was only for half an hour before the rain ruined this too!) Willard is awesome for four reasons: 1. Its on the ocean (as opposed to the lake which is where DGoff would rather be) 2. It is a sand beach but you can still find shells 3. There is a snack shack that has fried dough and 4. there is a freakin playground on the beach!!! Today was my first time taking the Goose to this beach and it was a BLAST. Ill put the pictures in order...of course the FIRST thing we did as soon as our feet hit the sand was hit up the playground:

After we played on the playground we chased the sea gulls, splashed in the water, and found some shells/rocks.....

The thunder and rain eventually drove us from the beach and after visiting Daddy-o at work and grabbing some hurricane rations from Target (oh and an ELMO balloon-dont forget that for goodness sakes) we headed home. After unloading all of our junk I realized that Charlotte was playing with her lifesized elmo while wearing an elmo shirt and holding her elmo balloon.....It was hilarious so I took a picture (see below) you can tell she is unimpressed at being posed :)

For some reason I think Goose looks like her uncle Silas in this picture. After a messy trip to the beach, messy snacks in the car, and a messy spagetti dinner Charlotte took a bath. Typically Im not much on putting bath pictures of C up but these are exceptions :) In one of them I caught her DRINKING TUB WATER....ewww! In the other she is counting!!! She can count to 3 :) I am super proud!

Ok with the internet running SOOOO slow I am going to call it a night with the picture uploading! Holy dial-up internet flashbacks! Lots of family visiting this weekend!! Should be lots of great pics and hopefully a playdate with Carter!!!!

Cereal and Learning How to Wink

Hello Everyone!

Not too much to report on today but I did want to share a couple of pictures of Charlotte the Goose eating cereal....not because its a fun new thing but because its HILARIOUS. She has been mimicking us for a while now but she just picked up on mimicking Derek drinking the milk out of his cereal bowl....

Eating cereal is also significantly messier than I would have anticipated.....

The other thing going on during dinner is Derek trying to teach Charlotte to wink. We may have some work to do on that one still.......see below for Charlotte "winking"

Ok thats it for now but tomorrow should be a picture-filled blog as Goose and I are going to the beach with Nathanna, Alden, Andrea, and Griff :)

Turtle Rain Boots!

Just a couple of pictures that were too cute to pass up posting today :)
Ive been waiting and waiting for Charlotte to fit into her Turtle Rain Boots from LLBEAN that Gaga bought her and SHE FINALLY DOES :) She was wearing them around the house tonight and posing for the camera yelling "CHEESE"....the "mama-rattzi" was in full effect today!

In the first pictures she just posing, the second she is "bouncing it" or trying to jump, and the last shes getting frustrated because her boots fell off FROM bouncing. She is a goose!

She is getting very good at identifying things and people with actual words its very exciting! She is able to identify from pictures her Gaga, her Papa, her Nana, her Carter (obviously as he is her main squeeze), Carters Mom, Missy, ect ect ect. She also somehow learned how to say "zip it"....I dont THINK  I have ever said that but who knows....the whole sponge thing freaks me out lately. She also says "Stop it Mumma" in context....Trying to find a balence between manners/politeness and letting her have her own opinions and emotions....my solution thus far is to ask her to say "PLEASE stop it mama" LOL.

We have a fun trip with Nathanna, Andrea, Alden, and Griff planned for Thursday afternoon...I will DEFS have pictures of that to post :)

Papas, Gagas, and Chuck E Cheese!

What a weekend! First things first- Laila's Birthday! My first experience at Chuck E. Cheese was so much fun! Goosie is actually a little too young for most of the games, rides, and play areas of Chuck E. Cheese but the good news is she is too young to understand and was THRILLED to ride the little "quarter-rides". I posted a few pictures below of her on a couple of them. She especially liked the ride where you sit next to a Chuck E Cheese statue and have your picture taken. We seriously have more of these ultra-sound style pictures than we have of her actual ultrasounds! She also REALLY liked the Barney one...which made me really nervous (as I cant STAND Barney) but since Charlotte thought Barney was a "woof" I dont think I have anything to worry about :) Thank you so much Christine for inviting us!

Papa stopped by with Lori briefly Saturday night too. I posted a few pictures of Charlotte and Papa below :) We ate blackberries from our backyard, did puzzles, and cooked in Charlottes kitchen. Charlotte loves Papa visits :)

Gaga came down to visit today. We spent a lot of time practicing this week to have Charlotte say "Happy Birthday" to Gaga when she came down so she has been running around the house yelling "Happy Day" all week. Its hilarious. She has definatly found out she is able to speak at various volumes lately and she seems to prefer to "talk" at a scream...lol! We had a blast at the park with Gaga today. They have added a new play structure fondly known as the "big blue slide". I posted a bunch of pictures of Goose playing there today. I was really happy to get a three generations picture too. Its been a year I think since we sat for one of those.

Well thats our crazy weekend in a rather short blip but with Daddy-o at the gym and Goose taking a nap, I shouldnt press my luck by writing more and not being able to finish because she wakes up :)
